Easter Holidays!!! wow... sooo exciting...not!

hmm lets start with Thursday.. finished lovely physiology lab at 5pm and went along to shoot some hoops with greggo and emo at unipol and ended up i had to take a shower dammit. After that we had another dinner at Tandor Palace with amy nels joel lewis malings emu and some other ppl. Wow that was a really heavy dinner. the heaviest yet since i left malaysia.... The rest of the night we watched dvds at nels place: eurotrip and the lady killers while the warcraft geeks played their game. (nelson, lewis and joel)

Eurotrip was really funny. a recommended watch i must add...

We all slept over at nelsons house and had lunch at KFC. Felt so guilty.. so much fat and starch over 2 days! hmmmm then after that I was left behind in dunedin :( hehe everyone else headed to christchurch except for me and lewis because of our sole reason of studying! hehe.. I must add I really did consider to go but thinking of it... besides all the fun... I would have to drive up, spend lotsa money, eat out everyday yum cha, and hmmm prob not get any study done! hehe so yes I am trying to make myself feel happy....

In da evening we went to play basketball at unipol: the usual ppl 4 on 4.
Was soo tired by the end of the day because having slept at 6am and waking up at 11am yes i only got 4 hours of sleep.!
The next day saturday: Went shopping for clothes. and with the intention of getting one pants it ended up with buying 4 pieces of clothing! $110! now I really am in debt... in the evening I went to play basketball again unipol so thats 2 days in a row..
And at night I decided to call up old friends in malaysia for a lil chat... Was a good catch up though. then by 10pm i went for a walk with John juz to catch up with stuff and yea walked to octagon all da way and back. He asked me to follow him and his bro for church at hutton theatre at otago museum the next day so I was still considering... hehe... was afraid i needed my sleep!

Moving on sunday... Woke up at around 9am and went to church for the first time after a long time.. was quite refreshing though I finally feel I am getting back on track. There were quite a few ppl who went for church that i knew esp renee and her friends and cindy and angeline and some this year Health science ppl plus john and his bro jimmy came.
then after that around 3 I tried studying a lil and couldnt concentrate. so i headed to the library which wasnt a good idea either coz i was feeling tired and soo weary. So went to the central lib and finally fell asleep. I managed to catch up on a few lectures though. Met alan and sam there for a while then soon later went home. On the way i bought dinner (Sanwich king) which was something like subway. Well at least the prices were about the same but man the food sucked!
Then went home had dinner and watched a lil tv. by 8pm headed over to Lynns place coz she was having a lil party over there. It didnt turn out too bad. the ppl were quite sociable so i didnt feel that left out hehe plus coreen was there. We played card games and then after that watched Notebook. Wat a touching story.. though i aint a fan of love stories... once that finished they went on to watch the grudge of which i had already seen so Didnt see point in staying plus i had to wake up at 8am today for group study with alan and a friend at 9am..So i left her place at 12am but then ended up sleeping at 2am.
Had a real bad stomach at that time plus i was real tired.. so had multiple nice visits to the toilet.. hehe shudnt mention more bout that...

Now. juz came back from the library of which i've been studying from 9am till 4 and now chilling out writing crap.. and watching tv...
Waiting till its 5 coz i'm gonna go vinays flat for a bbq that they are having there....

2005 flat gathering.

BBQ on a cloudy day! u must b crazy! and yes we are hehe... The day started with rain and clouds and well we had hope and by the time we put out the bbq the rain stopped.. It was cloudy though.... This is our annual gathering at 23 Dundas St (amal,aiman and my flat). To celebrate friendship and a new year plus all those birthdays that have passed..... Lotsa food and not much leftovers hehe.. looks like this time there were enuf ppl to eat everything....

2 Birthdays and a Barbeque... continued...

The home warming BBQ at our flat.

The next morning (sunday) I woke up at 11am and me and emu went to BK for bfast.. not a good place to go when ur on a diet! then after that i dropped him home and rushed home to cook for the bbq... 2 lasagnes hehe how da hell did i manage that? luckily amal was there to help...

by 4pm most ppl were there and the bbq started.. It was quite fun: socializing eating and eating and eating.... and taking photos... There was just enuf food for the 18 of us. amal prepared Malaysian satay and me lasagne and sahil: lamb chops! yumm.... and there was ice cream, chicken beers and lotsa drinks and other food like potato salads etc.

after that the 7 of us played charades of movies... kit, amal and sunny were on a team and on my team there was vinay, jake, me and aiman who later left.

It was really funny.. esp sunny haha how da hell could the letter 'l' sound like anything!????? Well the movie he was trying to say out was 'el marioche'.
And he told me and kit to keep the first word in mind and forget it for now.. and yes haha me and kit really did forget it. and we had to go all da way to the beginning to figure out 'el'!

haha well wats more i was dizzy coz i took a shot of vodka with aiman and hell it really is strong and yucky!

hmmm it was 12 am when everyone left the house... so u can see I didnt have enuf sleep and the next morning i missed a lecture coz i put the alarm set to the wrong day! haha wat a dummy...

2 Birthdays and a Barbeque... sounds similar to 4 weddings and a funeral.

Well yes its a week late for this but then hmm I'll try to write wat i remember of last week... Yes it was tae's birthday and dear malao is already 22. man I feel young haha. or is it more like he feels ancient?

Hmm moving on it was emu's bday and on thursday night, friday morning ie. (18th at 12am) following my brilliant ideas I came up with something to really surprise him.. and yes it came as a surprise... well if i were him I would really think that my 21st was the best and most memorable birthday of my life... hehe well to continue nelson, amy, meli and me- the driver went to emus place... greg was ready with his camera and let us into the house... emus parents being preinformed of our coming were acting as though there wasnt anyting going on so emu wudnt be suspicious and well it was dark and nels was carrying a cream custard pie and when i say custard.. man its really yellow and sticky! Well greg knocked on emus room door holding up the camera taking a video and nelson splashed the pie onto his face and made him dig his face in it.. haha and sad to say and to cut this short. emu tried his best to get cream and custard on everyone else.. and with all that struggling i got some in da end... haha man my hair was soo sticky!!! yucks! Well after that nelson gave emu another surprise it was called KINA and man it really stinks.... hehe its some kind of sea urchin but much bigger.. according to the supermarket its a delicacy for the maoris and they eat it roar! yucks... so emu, being so smart and intelligent cracked the shell and it spilled all over the place. and on da wall and yucks... i cant imagine myself going into his room again it must really smell funky.. haha well then after that the birthday boy had to try some of the real nice new seafood stuff and I must say it really looked gross.

dun think emu actually swallowed any of it and man there was saliva everywhere.. after that, willingly emus dad tried it and hmmmmm yes it was a delicacy... nice tasting i must add....the next who dared to eat it was greg and man he did swallow it! yucks.. then nelson bet with me that if he ate it then i had to and man i gave in and agreed. knowing that boon always chickened out so i thought i didnt hav to eat it but man he really did! and so i had too. and the taste.... undiscribable. such a pungent smell and wats more it tasted soooobitter. and yuck.... felt like really vomiting out, wats more amy took my glass of juice away as soon as i put that thing into my mouth.. naughty her..

well after that we all cleaned up and went to metro for a coffee, by that time it was 3 am..

Later that day we didnt meet up until 11pm for the international dance party at Vatican (the mission) and well the weather was not so compromisable. it was raining! but the music was good... love the beat. at least u didnt have to think of how to dance to it. haih aniway i'm not much of a clubber or a drinker...
all of us were at the vatican and so was amal and grace and ah hmmm... not gonna write the details down haha.....

but overall even though we didnt spend that long dancing it was a good night. at around 2 we decided to leave vatican and go to other clubs so we went to outback and coyote's but there was no one there (very few)!
and well the next stop was macdonald where i met a friend who i recognised but couldnt place where i met her before! hehe that was an embarrasing moment!

Then its off home. me and grace watched the grudge in my room and man i was scared. hate scary movies!!! haha.... I slept around 7am and woke up at 11 am! believe that or not! hehe

Saturday 19th March

Met up with emu, nels, meli joel greg and amy at asian but i missed the part where they made him eat pigs intestine.. then after that emu had a list of 21 things to do that joel planned. when we got to joels place emu had to go walking around and doing all 21 things wearing a bikini like back strap with a cardboard sign in the front saying 'I'm 21 Today'...
Well he suceeded at doing at least 2 of the things on the list... the second one was to go into starbucks and order my favorite drink which was everyones elses worst drink! Chai Latte Tea ice! but instead he ordered it hot..

hmmm by that time we could tell that he was a little put off so we stopped there and man he looked really pissed... We then went to boons place and played basketball and tried passing time until 5.30 then me and greg were off to do errands like buying alcohol, singstar game and picking up ppl.... I only had like 10 minutes to change and get ready for the dinner... by 7pm we all got to Benu for his bday dinner...
Was there for 3 hours and ended up having a tummy ache... After that i dropped some ppl over to nels place and I passed on the drinking and socializing for a while... was feeling sick..
Went back there 3 hrs later and by then some of them left and well emu was kinda drunk.. he drank the whole yard glass. most of it... beer.. gassy!
Me amy and meli started drawing on his face etc and i shaved the front portion of his leg hair off . haha now it looks funny.

Most of the day is there haha.. now feeling lazy to write more details!

Malao (tae's) Birthday! He is 22!

Its malao's birthday.... WU MU MAO haha juz call da monkey tae... he is turning 22! old dude... Well he isnt too fond on celebrating bdays esp when he is soo much older than everyone else :P hehe well me and amal brought him to Tull- a desert place in dunedin. the one and only and the nicest as well. Made him eat the chocolate massacre and all the other bits that came with it. That was his bday cake, wats more he had to finish it in order to get the certificate.. Trust me to finish that thing u really need a strong stomach. Unbelievably less than 20 minutes before that he had dinner at Reef- a seafood place and his platter was really big: kiwis eat big servings so u can imagine from that. So its amazing how he could stomach all that chocolate and all that KCals into there ! hehe well theres a pic above showing how much cake there was that he had to eat so if u think the pic looks as though its easy.. think again!! And again Happy 22nd bday to u Tae !!!! We luv ya. Sorry Christopher couldnt come.. he was too drunk and hungover. Oh and I forgot to mention thats the certificate he is holding... good on ya... U made it

frustrated???? not really

haha well its been 10 days since my last post... so let see.... havnt been too frustrated so far so thats good.. getting used to life here.....
Lunches have been great haha meaning I havnt gone on lunch without any company at all since uh i was hmm dunno lah.. 6 maybe.. hehe juz kidding...
Been trying to really not spend on food outside besides groceries but its sooo DIFFICULT! next time I'll juz leave my cards home on purpose or smthing....

Well as of today I have 30cents in one card and $13 in another hehe and $190 debit on the credit card! so yea I did make a great improvement... not!

Well to continue.... I had my first Anatomy lab which I must say was not that pleasant and I really didnt like it so yea i did my research on the paper and decided it wasnt for me: NO NO! So yea I dropped it and I took up Human nutrition paper instead and yea.. its interesting! hehe .... anything to do with food ! haha.... amazingly there is really so much u can learn from it...
But i did miss 2 weeks of lectures and 2 labs but It wasnt that difficult to catch up.... kinda getting wat the lecturers are rambling on about so i'm not in a really bad situation...

Lets see besides that there was my physiology lab on thursday .. ie. 10th march... yes and it was a bright sunny day and straight after lunch the weather turned from hot sun to HAIL! and i had to walk all the way from the library food court (UNION) to LF building and yes its quite far esp in the rain / hail and without an umbrella which of course wouldnt b useful coz of the oh.. so calm winds...
And yes i went for a 3 hr lab all drenched in rain water....
What made the lab not too frustrating was that I actually was following wat the lab was on about and understood everything hehe plus the lab demonstrator mmmmm... yumm... haha so cute...

ok enuf with that... Well on friday I went for 2 lunches haha the second one with grace... well more like desert. then coffee at starbucks with joel, nels, greg emu n meli... man i dunno y i always go that place and i never finish my drinks.... i actually dun really like anithing there... haha now i'm collecting half drunk plastic venti cups at home...
After that several of us went to play badminton at the expensive courts in St claire... $2 for 20 minutes and then the lights automatically switch of after the money runs out. how sad. had dinner at around 10.30pm at kfc... popcorn chicken.. expensive and not to die for.

Oh i missed this out! it was sues bday on the 6th :) yes yes... HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN!

now.. weekend. wat did i do..
Saturday went out in the morning until 3 with amal and met christian on the way ... we went for lunch : sushi and went present shopping for renee. got her matching presents so at least she has a set :) soo cute..
then went for some grocery shopping and got home by 3.30pm was soo tired but then forced myself to go unipol for basketball with a grp of friends: alan, nic, sj, sam and grace, and i was happy i made myself go because it turned out great! learnt a new move that i used all da time and the freaking balls juz went in! i dunno how.. hopefully i still know how to do it the next time i get onto the court. i, myself was impressed.. alrite enuf with self appraisal.
Okay here comes the frightening part. after basketball me and grace went to starbucks and on the way while driving there was a car infront of me who was travelling awefully slowly, to my thinking they were trying to piss me off. so when it came to the traffic lights since i was going straight and he was in the 'turning right lane' I was happy and just tried speeding off straight so i wouldnt catch the red light and as soon as i started moving the stupid car also accelerated straight. and I was like wat the *uck ur in the right lane man what the hell r u trying to do... and the 2 kiwi guys were juz looking at me and all of a sudden i really thought wewere gonna crash into each other but luckily he suddenly breaked and followed me behind.... Really that guy pissed me off.. hopefully u understand the story. haha trust me its more scary than it sounds:P some more his number plate was SLO 4!!!!
HAHA yea he was slow alrite at first..

okay sunday.. well to say this a loud. i took walks haha without driving.. to town.. amazing rite... well its nice to walk i must say. in the afternoon I went for coffee at starbucks again. haha yes i know! i am not supposed to buy the crap there. but anyway i needed the walk. Then after that I went to fetch MALAO (mumao) and we went to the library to STUDY!

haha and today had lunch at asian with chris and tae : CHRISTAE hehe sound familiar u bio students out there? well i'm getting lame so i beta stop here aye...

Sushi..... far tooo much is no good....

Well friday the 4th March..... My freeiest day of the week.. I start at 12pm and can easily end at 2pm.. I only have 2 lectures!!! Well nothing much really happened today except for the fact I went to the wrong Lecture theatre for my Anatomy lecture...
Everyday of the week monday to thursday the lecture would usually be in the hospital and out of all the days the lecture on friday was in the other building opposite to the hospital!... and yes.. i forgot... so i went into the hospital and sat there for a little while and I didnt recognise anyone at all.... After looking around the guy next to me sadi 'This is med 2' and I was like oops... I ran out of the lecture theatre feeling very embarassed.... At least I wasnt late for my lecture.. Apparently alot of ppl made the same mistake too...

Hmmmm after that I went for epidimiology lecture and was done by 3pm. Tried studying at the library for a while with Tae but at the end I went home early at around 4pm.. took a shower and relaxed. fell asleep and by the time i woke up it was 6pm....

Went to nels house at around 7.30pm and we were around 1 hour late... It was sushi nite at his place with the usual ppl but this time Lewis was the chef.... hmmm when we got there everyone was up and about cutting and cooking.... first thing thru the door was the doggy and the first thing was 'your late' haha... later on emu had to go out and buy new rice because apparently the 'Rice Nook' spoilt the rice.... Nelson so we had to wait for another 1 and a half hours to get the rice cooked and roll it into sushis... but it was worth the wait. The chef got everything into place and I did the honours of cutting the rolls up into lil pieces..
sooner or later ppl started getting bored and thanks to the rice nook we got into the game of eating more and more wasabi... man it was a torture... first he added alot of wasabi into the existing concorption of mixed soya sauce and wasabi that the chef made (which was mind you already quite hot!) and on top of that he made emu and me dip both sides (practically the whole sushi) into the sauce... well it was enjoying for those who witnessed everything but not for the 3 of us... wat was worse when it was my turn. At first i couldnt stand the heat and got choked and out of sheer desperation....oh u can guesse...... poor Lewis... Hahaha... so sorry man... hope u had a real nice shower.....

It wasnt as bad so stop imagining! well after that Amy took the tube of wasabi and squeezed wasabi neat on top one of the small pieces of sushi and this time nels was trying to convince someone to eat it and at the end it came down to me and damm I always lose..... we both played a set of 3 : scissors paper and stone game and yes i lost at the end.... So i kept with my side of the bet and ate it.... and the feeling was really bad.. I started choking and man luckily i didnt cry! half way thru i forced down plain white rice to make the feeling better as wat lewis said and amazingly it did work...

hmmm after that it was emus turn and well he got the same treatment except his had additional taste to the bottom of it... it was dipped in the sauce so yea he had top and bottom wasabi.... nice and green i must say...

Next and lastly it was Nels turn and man we really made him have as much wasabi as possible so he ate it and haha he was sweating like his whole face was wet and if i wasnt wrong. he did have some tears too....

haha but well that was the experience of wasabi and sushi... all our ears were red hot....

joel amy and meli and lewis were just enjoying the show... dint dare to taste just a little.... the thought is sooo funny.... usually other ppl would get so excited about other things and do other stuff, maybe illegal... and we here are entertaining ourselves and having so much fun over wat.....
WASABI!!! that is just soo.... hmmm wats that word???? ahh nevermind... well thats how the day went. we got back early after that at around 12pm so it wasnt a late night....

Annoyed!!! no reason.... maybe its the RAIN!

hmmm this week of lectures, first week thru has been quite challenging.
I must say it is much more than wat i learnt in health sciences. Feel left behind already!
The weather has been crap and so has the week too... Monday was okay but tuesday was a crap day... Got A flat tyre. and for now its just one. Lucklily i wasnt on the way to some where far far away, just went up the hill to a friends place and there it was. the car was tilted to one side!
Well it was around 2pm when my friend decided to go for lunch and bamm... when i got to her house We had to wait for another half an hour to change the tyre. Wait for AA actually because I didnt have the right equipment to lift the car up to take out the tyre.. I am not strong enuf u know....

Well after that already feeling crappy because 'why on earth do i have to get a flat tyre and why the fuk now?? In malaysia I had never been thru the feeling of getting a flat tyre in my whole life and why here?
I bloody blame those bastards next door and all the scarfie wanna be drunkads: throwing all the bloody beer bottles and leaving heaps of sharp glass on the floor. man y cant they use their muscle elsewhere for crying out loud???

Anyway after changing the flat tyre to the spare we went along to firestone to get a new tyre which cost me $90.. and when i got home I found out I was ripped of. well so yes theres the thing that made me even more pissed. money issue....

On that day we had lunch at around 4.30pm! imagine that! . well after that grace went along with me to clean da car at the autowash (of which I was not too impressed at ) The car still had bits of dirt stuck to it here and there.....
Later on the 5 of us went to watch the movie 'HIDE AND SEEK', a thriller. It wasnt too bad but i really thnk the acting was quite good.

Well today... wat happened? nothing much. boring day as usual but the happy thing about it was that I watched a comedy: Harold and Kumar. that kind of made my day.... at least I had something to laugh about!
Moreover I bought a new text book for physiology and man I love new books: the smell, the feel but the worst thing was that they are really damm expensive! Well lets hope I make the best use out of it aye! get the A grade, as the lecturer told me earlier today. You cant get an A if u dont use the text book. the most is a C+. But well i thkn he was kinda over exxagerating....

Finished around 1pm and got a lift home by my pet bro, Alan. met Liann too today... was happy to see Mommy.....

Wow time does fly...... trying to remember and write what I can of what i remember of the past. It was only less than a week ago and look at me!!! I cant remember a thing!

First thing when I met emu at the airport i was like thinking: hmmm he looks diff. dunno in wat way haha.. but first worry that came to my mind was : I cant wait to see my car!! haha and well it was dirty as expected and it took me about 2 weeks until I finally washed it (went to do that at the autowash coz I really didnt feel happy about washing it myself, yes i know wat ur thinking!!.... )

Anyway well....... when I got back to 'not as cold as i thought', Dunedin. Had dinner at subway with emo and then went to see Amal at checkout at countdown.. She still recognises my unique call for her... nothing sick lah... its just the pssss sound... well if u dun get wat i mean then nvm. Mann she was really smitten to see me... So happy :) first remark: you put on weight... cheeks soo chubby! haha. After that I obviously unpacked eventhough i didnt have almost more than 30 hours of sleep and crap Airplane food... Eventhough I was left with my last drop of energy I still didnt feel sleepy so I decided to unpack and I slept at around 3am... hmmm must be my bodyclock. It hadnt adjusted itself back to New Zealand time....
Well my room was left in the same state: messy. So i decided to clean up and rearrange some things and unpack clothes etc.... Man my room was sooo disorganised....

The first thing on Monday I decided to wake up at 8am and finish my course approval so there I went taking my time to the 'Smithells' gym. (not sure whether thats how u spell it) and got my form ticked off by the proper course advisors. Took me about 2 hours to finish everything which was short compared to the 5 hour course approval time that i took to do Health sciences last year. Well that is in the past and now how I wish i could turn back time and start all over again! Tuesday I decided to go with grace to take my lovely photo for the Student Id card. After doing up my hair and stuff.. I finally stuffed up the photo again! I dindt smile and it really looks crap. Afterwards we went for lunch with renee and Christian and did some catching up, was kinda shocked at why Christian chose Med lab over Dent but I guesse the dude has is reasons huh...

Well the rest of the week went on smoothly I think apart from some of the time I was bored stiff and annoyed at myself which is happening quite often nowadays I must say. More like being frustrated rather than annoyed...
To cut this short I met up with almost everyone except for a few like Tae and Christopher. Been spending more time with a gal called Coreen and those of u who dont know her... she is one hell of a wierdo... haha kidding man. she's damm nice :)
Watched about 6 movies in one week.
2 days of late hours with soo little sleep...On friday we watched 3 movies at Joel's place and I barely finished the last one and If i had it my way i would have fallen asleep half way thru the first one the problem was that I had to be woken up by someones smelly fart. and really it was bad.... Wat was worse was that we finished around 6.30AM on saturday and went around town posting up signboards of a GARAGE sale at coreens place. by 7.30 we went for breakfast and I stayed at coreens place from 9am till 3pm trying to sell of some stuff... well I didnt exactly make a profit but i sold my sofa bed, shampoo, dvds and hmmm the person who bought the dvds took all the free stuff i offered in a box.. Man arnt chinese greedy :P kiddin. THis was on friday and well I dindt hav any time to sleep because at 4pm on the same day we had to play badminton and soo imagine! no sleep at all plus i didnt eat much too!
To add on to that I havnt been eating regularly and was starting to feel damm weak. So bad that i felt like fainting really... Moreover I have been playing basketball with my 'gal pal' grace for 2 consecutive days (thursday and friday) for a total of about 6 hours. She is my basketball buddy... cant play without her.... well it was quite hard out and tiring... To continue.....

So i took a nap at around 7pm until around 10 when. Emu and greg came to pick me up to see FISH and CHIPS.. Man i was happy to see greg... hehe hadnt seen him for almost 3 months! Well.... When we got to nelsons house I learnt to play Mah Jong which about 6 of us spent playing for about 8 hours at Nelson's place. Mann that was damm long till I got so bored and couldnt think animore...

I slept around 7am and was woken up by coreen at 11.30 hehe... to come over to her place for a bbq.. I didnt forget, it was just that I was too tired!.. It was Eva's birthday (her flatmate) and darn there were too many dentists surrounding me... but hmm the sausages were nice plus there was free lunch so waht the heck... haha kidding kiddin.... It was someones 21st! How could I miss it??

Man that was the end of the 1 week holiday in Dunedin and damm classes started..... on monday...

Oh to add on to that I had preliminary lectures on friday and damm it was a long day!

Yes and It hasnt ended yet! Sunday was kinda quiet.. Woke up late and met up with coreen later in the afternoon around 4pm to go shopping and dinner. Sushi! :)
Chatted a bit and watched Ray later on with her flatmate... Man the movie is not bad but may b boring to some ppl... Well by the time that ended I was really tired... I know! wats wrong with me right???? ITS JUST THE WIERED SLEEPING PATTERNS AND THE LACK OF FOOD! dont worry I am back to normal... I hope so ....
